Job Summary:

We're seeking a resourceful and customer-focused individual to join our growing desktop support team. In this role, you'll provide technical support to Wipro employees across various locations. You'll troubleshoot a wide range of issues related to desktops, laptops, operating systems, software applications, and peripherals. Your strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a genuine desire to help others will be instrumental in keeping our employees productive and resolving their technical challenges efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, operating systems, and peripherals.
    • Resolve technical problems reported by employees through various channels (phone, email, ticketing system).
    • Provide remote technical assistance and on-site support as needed.
    • Install, configure, and maintain software applications, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
    • Perform data backups and recoveries as required.
  • User Support and Training:
    • Provide clear and concise instructions to users on resolving technical issues.
    • Assist users with new software applications and answer their questions.
    • Develop and deliver basic technical training sessions (as needed).
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management:
    • Document troubleshooting procedures and solutions for future reference.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge base articles for common technical issues.
    • Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • A+ or similar IT certification is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and hardware components.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
    • Customer-centric approach with a strong desire to provide exceptional service.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
