Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Recovery Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining data recovery strategies, ensuring the timely restoration of lost or corrupt data. This role requires a strong understanding of data storage technologies, data recovery techniques, and a commitment to data security best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive data recovery plans and procedures
Analyze data loss incidents to identify the cause and determine the appropriate recovery method
Utilize data recovery software and tools to recover lost or corrupt data from various storage devices (hard drives, servers, etc.)
Restore data to its original location or designated backup location
Verify data integrity and ensure the recovered data is complete and functional
Document data recovery procedures and maintain detailed records of recovery activities
Stay up-to-date on emerging data recovery technologies and best practices
Collaborate with IT personnel and other departments to ensure efficient data recovery processes
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to data security protocols

Required Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 2 years of experience in data recovery or a related IT support role
Strong understanding of data storage technologies (RAID, SAN, NAS)
In-depth knowledge of data recovery techniques and methodologies
Proficiency in data recovery software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

Experience
