Summary

As a General Accountant at RBI, you'll be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks. You'll process financial transactions, maintain ledgers, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and understanding of accounting principles will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Process financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and journal entries.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, cash books, and subsidiary ledgers.
Prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable.
Assist with month-end closing procedures and ensure timely completion.
Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
Maintain internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Prepare and submit tax returns (as required).
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on accounting-related matters.
Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and standards (e.g., Indian Accounting Standards - Ind AS).

Required Skills and Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent accounting qualification.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance (preferred).
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Understanding of relevant Indian laws and regulations related to banking and finance (a plus).
