Summary

We are searching for a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our growing team as an Information Security Analyst (remote-friendly). In this critical role, you'll leverage your cybersecurity expertise to identify, analyze, and mitigate security risks across our IT infrastructure. You'll work proactively to monitor network activity, detect potential security breaches, and implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in cybersecurity principles and a thirst for continuous learning. Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor network activity and security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root cause analysis to determine the origin and impact.
• Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control lists (ACLs).
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our IT infrastructure.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities, continuously learning and adapting security strategies.
• Participate in incident response activities, assisting in containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other departments on information security best practices.
• Document security procedures and findings in a clear and concise manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in information security or a similar role (an internship may be considered).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and methodologies (e.g., threat modeling, risk assessment, vulnerability management).
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM/SOC solutions, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
• Working knowledge of network security concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive approach to learning and staying up-to-date on the evolving cybersecurity landscape.

Experience:

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 1 year of experience in information security or a similar role. However, we are also open to considering recent graduates with a strong academic background in cybersecurity and a demonstrable interest in the field.
